So...
What Do The Converted Car's Owners Think?
Good morning
Rob,
The last two
fill ups showed 25.6 mpg. Mostly freeway driving, going fast........can't
seem to keep it under 75.. Have only
filled up twice since getting the car from you, and both times it took 9.3
gals with 239 miles driven. Several
tanks full prior to the 5 speed yielded 22.5 or so mpg....I'm sure there were
more around town miles with those
tanks full.
I'll let you
know what the mileage is at 65 if I ever learn to slow down.

Hi Rob,
Finally got a chance to drive the tii to work this morning, trying to
keep it at 65 mph (very hard for me to do!)
30 mpg exactly.
Am extremely busy these days with my tractors, so I'm not driving it
much, but if we get rain up here in the next few days I'll have a chance to
get some pictures of it and send them to you.

Rob,
Your complete conversion kit for Stella arrived last
week and was exactly as you described it on the phone... only better!
The plating, powder coating and overall finish was a
perfect match to the rest of the work being done on my car. It
went in, no muss, no fuss, like BMW had intended to do it originally.
And by the way, the drive shaft was a bolt in deal
also - the exact length, and with the grease fittings I know it will
overcome one of the other BMW Achilles heel of worn out, clunky U-joints
over time.
I wish other things worked as well on this project as
the kit has. If the rest of the car was this easy to do, I would have
finished two years earlier!
I am sure as my car is completed and makes it out
there to '02 land where people get a chance to see your kit installed
and even take a spin in my car they will know what they are missing out
on - a true improvement in what is an already great automobile.
